Review

Andy Nicol says: “Scotland had an above average autumn series, coming close to beating Australia and getting wins against Argentina and Georgia. So there’s a feel-good factor right now. We have to channel that into the Ireland game, which is massive. This tournament is all about momentum. If you win your first game you get huge confidence; if you lose, it really sets you back. The Scottish public isn’t expecting titles or Grand Slams, but there’s a definite buzz in the stands now, and that will galvanise our team.”

One to watch: Finn Russell
“The fly half is hugely important to Scotland. Finn plays with such confidence, and when he’s on his game he can do really special things. I love his temperament, the way he’s always willing to try things. He has the ability to take Scotland to the next level.”
