After a two-week break to lick wounds and tweak gameplans, time for matchday three. The Scottish squad have more wounds to lick than most, with a handful of key players including captain Greig Laidlaw ruled out or doubtful for the game against Wales – whom they haven’t beaten since 2007.
Both teams need to bounce back after agonising defeats in the last round, with Wales left to rue those last few minutes against England, and a hapless Scotland out-muscled by France.
Summary
Scotland v Wales (Kick-off 2.25pm). John Inverdale presents coverage of the third match of this year's tournament for both sides, which takes place at Murrayfield. Vern Cotter's Scots will be hoping to end their dismal run of nine straight losses at the hands of the Welsh. After suffering a record 51-3 drubbing in Cardiff three years ago, Scotland have lost their last two meetings with Wales by the much smaller margins of three and four points respectively. Both teams narrowly lost a fortnight ago to France and England respectively and defeat here would almost certainly end any lingering title hopes. With commentary by Eddie Butler, Martyn Williams and Chris Paterson.
