Review

The grande dame of European song, now 83, shows little sign of slowing down. This Berlin concert in April mixes the jaunty Sixties hits that made her (including Don't Sleep in the Subway and Downtown) with tracks from her latest Pet project, From Now On. These include a clever reinvention of Steve Winwood’s While You See a Chance and a spartan Pour Etre Aimée de Toi, reminding us of Clark’s huge Gallic fan base.

A pared-back Lennon (Imagine) and McCartney (Blackbird), two songs called Crazy and a rousing take on I Couldn’t Live without Your Love round out an intimate, friendly occasion.
