Review
by

Not since GBBO’s baked Alaska-gate has there been such an outcry over perceived injustice in a TV competition. The whole nation was up in arms when it was announced that Anastacia could not take part in the Strictly dance-off because of injury and therefore Melvin Odoom, who’d received the fewest votes from the public, would be leaving. No wonder Bruno Tonioli said a rude word (although, to be fair, he was disagreeing with the other judges’ critiques and actually only Tess Daly seemed to hear it).
But that’s ancient history now - especially as Will Young recently surprised fans by announcing his departure. So the remaining 12 dancers will take to the floor again. It’s already clear who the frontrunners are: Louise Redknapp and Danny Mac are unlikely to put a foot wrong. But Judge Rinder has become a favourite with viewers too, partly for his entertainment value but also because he’s a match for Craig Revel Horwood’s sharp tongue.
Summary
Last Sunday, Tameka Empson became the second celebrity to be voted out - and since then, Will Young made headlines by hanging up his dancing shoes, leaving 12 famous hoofers to prove their mastery of ballroom and Latin routines in live performances. As ever, judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood are on hand to scrutinise every move and pass their verdict, ahead of tomorrow's show, in which the results of the public vote will be revealed. Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
