Review

Sarah Carson
The lives of America’s most notorious criminal couple are laid bare in this documentary. It charts the rise from their impoverished upbringings in east Dallas and illicit early romance in the early 1930s to their emergence as a pair of murderous, hardened outlaws with Public Enemy status.
Piecing together old photographs and news reports, the film paints a grim portrayal of the lovers, who remain a subject of perpetual intrigue – but excessive re-enactments and the hackneyed, overdramatic score and narration are off-putting.
Summary
The story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, who became the most famous criminal couple in American history.
