Review

Roger Kearney, jailed for life in 2010 for the murder of his lover Paula Poolton, pleads with the boss of a charity set up to look into possible miscarriages of justice: “I don’t know what to do, I need help to prove my innocence.”

In this enthralling two-part documentary we follow Louise Shorter, head of Inside Justice, as she tracks back through the prosecution case. Paula Poolton was, it was claimed, stabbed to death by Kearney in her car. He later bundled her body into the boot.

There was no forensic evidence to link him to the crime, and CCTV footage was crucial. But there’s one murky image that Kearney claims could set him free. Concludes next week.
