Review

This has been another really enjoyable series of what's justifiably become one of Channel 5's flagship titles. But, like a poignant farewell to a chirpy Englishman who's been kipping in your spare room for a fortnight, it's time to say au revoir to Ben, give him a hug and wave him off into the sunset.

One of Ben's most affable attributes is his willingness to get stuck into some hard graft, and tonight he's cast away in Cambodia, where he joins expat Paul and family in their efforts to ward off poachers and protect the local ecosystem. It's a touching insight into the fragility of life on the tiny tropical island they call home.

Summary

Ben travels to Cambodia to live with a fellow Brit who is raising his own castaway tribe, joining his renegade host as he defends the precious sea-life around him. They go diving to see the wildlife he is trying to protect, and on night patrol to ward off illegal fishermen, discovering island bunkers from the brutal Khmer Rouge regime, and experiencing how fragile life is for this family.
