Review

Tonight, Sheldon has a hissy fit on discovering his roommate Leonard has effectively moved in with Penny. Yes I know they’re married, but this is Sheldon we’re talking about – and he’s rabidly change-averse. After calming down he seems cool with the idea, and starts interviewing for a new roomie. But the fact that he now wants to live like it’s 2003 (before he ever met Leonard, Penny and Sheldon’s ex, Amy) is eloquence itself.

That sounds like it could be sad, but actually this feels more like Big Bang of old, with the serious bits deflected by cute gags and nerdy silliness (Raj and Howard forming a group and singing a song about Thor fighting Indiana Jones). Also, the continuity person has woken up: Raj’s mysterious disappearing girlfriend Emily is back.

Summary

Penny and Leonard announce that they are moving in together, prompting Sheldon to revisit 2003, a much simpler time before he had met either of them. Howard and Raj form a band to play at the comic-book store, only to fall out over musical differences.
