Italy v Sweden

Episode 10 Italy v Sweden

Under incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, the Italians look light up front and dented by injury in midfield, so some old-school Azzurri defending is in order – especially against demigod Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Italy v Sweden (Kick-off 2.00pm). All the action from both teams' second Group E encounter, which comes from Stadium Municipal in Toulouse, France. The sides last met in 2009, when a goal by defensive stalwart Giorgio Chiellini gave the Italians a 1-0 home win. Prior to that, the nations' most recent competitive meeting was at Euro 2004, when the sides shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the scorer for Sweden on that occasion and remains their main goalscoring threat 12 years later in what, at the age of 34, may be his final international tournament. Chief responsibility for stopping Ibrahimovic is likely to lie at the hands of another veteran in captain and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. The 38-year-old was set to play in Euro 2000 before sustaining an injury and has appeared at each of the three European Championships to take place since, amassing a record number of caps for his country in the process. Few would begrudge either player a winner's medal this late in their career, but their hopes of progressing any further may hinge on avoiding defeat in this fixture. Presented by Jacqui Oatley, with commentary by Joe Speight and Iain Dowie, and analysis by Slaven Bilic, Ian Wright and Glenn Hoddle.
