Review

The defending champions are a team in transition with few clear options at centre forward but still one bristling with skill and imagination. Turkey will likely try, and fail, to physically knock them off their stride.

Summary

Spain v Turkey (Kick-off 8.00pm). Mark Pougatch presents all the action from the countries' second Group D match, which comes from the Stade de Nice. This is the first meeting between these sides in more than seven years, and first-ever in the finals of a major tournament. That most recent fixture - a World Cup qualifier in Istanbul in April 2009 - finished 2-1 to Spain. Semih Senturk had given the home side the lead in the first half, but Xabi Alonso levelled matters with a penalty before Albert Riera struck in the last minute to give Vicente Del Bosque's team all three points. With commentary by Clive Tyldesley and Tony Pulis, and analysis by Lothar Matthaus and Lee Dixon.
