Doon Mackichan’s Cathy is on fighting form. The glamorous neighbour has been to see a counsellor: “She said to me I have one of the worst cases of low self-esteem she has seen… She said I need to put myself first for a change.” Given that Cathy putting anyone first, let alone husband Colin, is unheard of, it’s quite a diagnosis.
It sets the scene for an episode where young Sophie (Sharon Rooney from My Big Fat Diary) takes centre stage as her mother, the monstrous Christine, tries to find out who the father of her daughter’s child is, by any means necessary.
Summary
Christine locks her daughter in the hut when she refuses to tell her who the father of her baby is, while Cathy thinks she can counsel other people. Colin just cannot help himself and cheats when it looks like Eric is going to win a game of darts, and Beth gets caught in the middle. Comedy, starring Arabella Weir, Alex Norton, Doon Mackichan, Jonathan Watson, Elaine C Smith and Sharon Rooney.
