Hankies at the ready? One of the key characters in the long-running American ratings behemoth takes a rather sudden final bow in this episode, having told the producers they intended to leave just prior to this 11th season going into production.

But before that happens – and it’s all very Casablanca – the NCIS team are still trying to find out who was responsible for the death of the Secretary of the Navy and the attacks on Gibbs and Tony, who’s decamped to Israel in search of Ziva, and grown a rugged beard. The NCIS investigations have led to a Pakistani terror cell, but is there a suspect even closer at hand?

Sarah Porter, the new Secretary of the Navy, charges Gibbs and the team with finding terrorist group the Brotherhood of Doubt, which was responsible for killing her predecessor. She expects the group's next target to be billionaire Tomas Mendez, who spends his money trying to defeat terrorism, but whose motives may not be entirely altruistic. Meanwhile, Tony flies to Tel Aviv, where new Mossad director Orli Elbaz reveals they have a report of a possible sighting of Ziva at a kibbutz she went to as a child. Crime drama, guest starring Marina Sirtis.
