The past few episodes of this well-acted thriller have revolved around a scramble of perplexing subplots and disappointing dead ends. However, with only two hours left until the series’ conclusion, it’s finally time to start winding up towards a (hopefully) big satisfying finish.
While, after the last episode’s revelation, we know there’s more to John Sumner (James Frain) than drab linen suits and self-pity, Laura (Angel Coulby) unfortunately doesn’t, which explains why she happily invites him to the zoo with her adorable daughters.
Back at the station, as the search for Kieran Ashton dries up, Karl (Stephen Dillane) and Elise (Clémence Poésy) make a much-needed breakthrough, resulting in a riveting, suspense-filled closing sequence that will leave you desperate for the finale.
Using bank accounts to trace the Truth Terrorist's identity, Karl and Elise discover the plans for his murderous scheme in his lair. E-mails reveal the killer was privy to a secret Karl harboured from his ex-colleague, and the detective quickly realises his wife Laura is the next target. Elise suspects his son Adam is in danger too, and she races to his house only to find that he has vanished. Starring Stephen Dillane and Clemence Poesy. In English and French.
