Review

Rating: 4 out of 5.

After the writers developed geekdom’s power couple “Shamy” in dramatic fashion last week, they’ve separated them again – Amy is away at a neurobiology conference. So manchild Sheldon, as he helpfully declares to his friends, is “available to be entertained”. Raj draws the short straw, taking Sheldon to the observatory to help him scan for rogue planets.

Howard and Bernadette also find themselves at a loose end, when their unwanted lodger – oddball loner Stuart – finally moves out. Could they possibly be suffering withdrawals? But perhaps the most intriguing plot sees Leonard’s ploy to help Penny with her sales-rep job culminate in both of them opening up to a psychiatrist. Will they benefit from the experience?
