Rating: 4 out of 5.

If you suspect David Attenborough has been spreading himself a bit thin of late, the great naturalist showing you a collection of fleas dressed as Mexicans may confirm your suspicions. But hold on, that’s just an amusing diversion during his investigation into whether a flea can jump 200 times its body length – and more importantly, his explanation of how a flea can leap so high.

He also asks whether a cheetah can really run at 70mph, a segment that includes a classic Attenborough moment. As he does a piece to camera, the purring cheetah he’s gently stroking interrupts his flow by deciding to lick his hands. He’s still nature’s friend.
