Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

Lovejoy's Dudley Sutton guest-stars as the elderly rector at Upcott Seminary where a young student has drowned in the lake.

It's believed to be suicide, but when a second seminarian plunges to his death from the church tower, Father Brown is suspicious. He notices that both boys were wearing an unusual crucifix and devises a plan to find out what's going on.

He sends the godless Sid under cover to investigate. “It will take a miracle [for him to pass as a trainee priest],” mutters Mrs McCarthy. Well, strange things are always happening in the world of Father Brown.
