Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

It’s another lovely sunny day in the village of Kembleford and everyone is very excited about a crunch cricket match. But a shot rings out, heralding death in the pavilion and another mystery for charming, pragmatic cleric Father Brown (Mark Williams).

Naturally there are lots of suspects as villagers peer at one another from behind stone Georgian pillars, and there’s a whiff of blackmail. But the non-judgemental Father picks his quiet way through a morass of past wrongs and current guilt, all stoked by the presence of a viper at the heart of the community.

But everyone rallies when it becomes clear that the beloved cricket match could be at risk from a wicked developer.
