Episode 10: The Discovery Dissipation

Summary

Sheldon is bothered by the attention he receives in the wake of his heavy element discovery, but is taken aback when his work is disproved by Leonard. Meanwhile, Raj makes Howard and Bernadette feel inadequate when he stays with them for a week and is the perfect house guest.

Review

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Cast your minds back to when Dr Sheldon Cooper was shocked to discover a new element… by mistake. The perfectionist physicist was naturally mortified that his flawed research led to the breakthrough. Well now, he’s reluctant to give interviews, even though it will raise the university’s profile. “I’m not just some trained monkey dancing for coins,” he whines. Could former nemesis and onetime Star Trek child actor Wil Wheaton help him deal with his new-found fame?

Any Sheldon-centric episode is always a joy, but the side salad of Howard and Bernadette’s new housemate, Raj, and his fastidious thoughtfulness coming between them is great fun, too.
