Review

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Anyone who loves Raiders of the Lost Ark might look a little disconsolate after this episode. Sheldon, who's seen the film 36 times, has his world shattered when Amy watches it with him as part of their date night and points out a glaring plot hole. Sheldon can’t leave it at that, of course, and seeks to ruin a beloved favourite of Amy’s.

Someone whose childhood was already ruined is Leonard, who is horrified when Penny buys his mother’s book on psychology entitled The Disappointing Child. It’s a revenge-heavy episode that looks wryly at relationships in their various stages – for Raj and comic-book guy Stuart it’s early days, but hope springs eternal.
