Review

Rating: 4 out of 5.

In what passes for big drama in this high-minded and gag-rich sitcom, a wedge is driven between flatmates Sheldon and Leonard. It even culminates in the improbable line: “It’s high time you and I addressed the tweeperdoc in the room.” (Actually, that’s a very probable sentence in the Big Bang universe.)

The reason for all the science friction is that Leonard returns early from his expedition, but only wants his girlfriend Penny to know. However, the real laughs come from Howard and a tube of oestrogen cream. It leads to a scene you’ll find both hilarious and horrible. Incidentally, if you had a nagging curiosity about what Howard’s never-seen mum looks like, you probably won’t after a bit more of her picture is painted.
