Episode 4: Tasty Dinners

Summary

The Michelin-starred chef prepares a fuss-free lemon pepper chicken dish that will even save on the washing-up as it's all cooked in one pan, before spicing up traditional lamb chops with a North African twist - serving them with a courgette and feta salad and an unusual dressing. Tom also puts his spin on some retro family favourites with his quick and easy rice pudding, and a tasty scampi and chips made with fresh monkfish and a crispy batter.

Review

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Tom Kerridge loves a bit of silly banter. But even he looks slightly embarrassed as he serves up an admittedly delicious looking chicken dish while intoning, “easy-peasy lemon-pepper-chicken squeezy”. However it’s when he tastes some chillies to see which are the hottest that he pulls the funniest faces.

As well as the chicken, he’s also cooking a monster Barnsley chop with a courgette and feta salad (although he admits he’s not really a salad sort of guy), “proper” scampi with chips and a rice pudding “like you’ve never had before”. It’s definitely not like that white gloop you get out of a tin.
