Watch an exclusive teaser for new BBC police action comedy In Deep

They’re city cops, they’re keeping the streets safe, they’re – er, eating chips in their cop car…

From the multi-award winning Big Talk Productions and makers of Rev and Him & Her comes action comedy, In Deep.

Commissioned by BBC3 and BBC iPlayer as part of their Comedy Feeds strand, In Deep follows two hapless young police constables, Nathan and Jimmy, who appear to spend more time hunched over a lapful of takeaway food in their car whilst complaining about the lack of street stabbings than ridding the streets of crime.

They’re also not too keen on the title of their tale, In Deep, because it “sounds like a porno”.

But their luck changes when they land themselves an unexpected case, giving them the chance to make heroes of themselves. Their one job? To break ranks and go under cover for just one night.

Nothing could go wrong, right?

The disastrous duo is played by Ashely Walters (Top Boy) and Adam Deacon (Kidulthood), while In Deep also features appearances from Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones), Sophie Wu (Fresh Meat), and Andrew Leung (PhoneShop).

It was written by Thomas Eccleshare and Tom Joseph, and created alongside director Misha Manson-Smith (Pramface, La La Land).

It’ll be available to watch on BBC iPlayer from 20 July, but is giving you this exclusive look…
