Richard arrives in Hong Kong, where the legacy of British colonialism lingers in the shape of double-decker buses and cocktail hours. “There’s nothing so fabulous as a bit of luxe under your arse,” he exclaims at the opulent Mandarin Oriental hotel, while sinking into a sofa once allegedly used by Thatcher’s cabinet. In the background, the Imperial Attack theme from Star Wars plays – not sure what the programme-makers are trying to say there.
