Episode 3: The Escape of John Wilkes Booth

Summary

Actor Laurence Fishburne revisits the assassination of US President Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. Rather than being cornered and killed after a desperate shoot-out in a barn in northern Virginia, he questions whether Booth actually managed to evade justice and lived on for decades, undetected, following the murder. Booth family members share family lore and what they believe is evidence of the assassin's escape passed down through generations. Their theories and others' are put to the test, including, for the first time, Booth family DNA analysis from the autopsy table
