Episode 2: Glory

Summary

McCall's online ad leads her to a mother whose son has been kidnapped. Delilah has a secret, and McCall and Aunt Vi are determined to uncover it

Review

Robyn’s gun-for-hire business has attracted the attention of Detective Dante of the NYPD who’s wondering whether she’s on the side of the angels. An avenging angel, maybe, as Robyn’s unflinchingly ruthless when it comes to shooting down a couple of horrible traffickers in this second episode. But the bonds she has with her daughter Delilah and off-the-grid colleagues are what make this series more than just a scowling revenge fantasy.

Of particular interest is master hacker Harry, who’s played by Adam Goldberg, an actor still probably best-known for playing Chandler’s edgy roommate Eddie on Friends. He’s giving a similarly skittish turn here as a man believed by the world to be dead but who really dwells in a Batcave-style basement filled with huge screens and cutting-edge tech.
