Episode 3: First Dates

Summary

Michael, a 23-year-old neuroscientist and self-confessed geek, goes on a date with publishing assistant Hannah, who is hoping her dream man exists outside of her romantic novels. Mother-of-two Melissa - who has been married three times - meets Damien, a masseuse and hypnotherapist who is looking for a soulmate

Review

The date is going swimmingly. They appear perfectly matched. They fancy each other. Then an inappropriate story about a previous relationship or an ill-judged joke and suddenly the air of romance has turned into something considerably chillier. Once again it’s hard to guess who’s going to hit it off and who’s going to be taking a solo cab ride.

“Mad Lynda” is in the opening credits so we already know that she’s up for a laugh, but perhaps there is something more behind the (hideous) mask that her kilt-wearing trucker date Tony will see. Meanwhile Damien is thrown to discover his date, Melissa, is still married… to herself.
