Summary
Shootings at Holby College throw the ED into turmoil; Ruth eagerly awaits news regarding her application for a surgical job; and Jordan rallies the team after introducing an unpopular new policy.
Shootings at Holby College throw the ED into turmoil; Ruth eagerly awaits news regarding her application for a surgical job; and Jordan rallies the team after introducing an unpopular new policy.
It’s a classic Casualty set-up: two cars, two distracted drivers. One is dealing with noisy teenage children, the other coughing blood and listening to hits of the 80s. So will one of them crash, or both? Or one into the other? When it comes, the accident is an impressive one, at Holby’s attractive harbourside quarter, and brings about a case full of challenges for Adam.
He faces first one high-pressure ethical dilemma – whether to ignore an advance directive from a terminally ill patient – then a series of others, as the aftershocks of a corrupt family business rattle the resus room. The subplots are awful, but this main story packs a punch.
