Squint a little and you could be watching Waterloo Road. Half the school must be playing truant – Vicki popped up in the last episode and Finn makes a guest appearance in this one. Not only that but Christine Tremarco, once WR’s school secretary, joins the Holby team as Linda, a fun-loving nurse who may be a temporary replacement for Tess. “Lazy, unproductive, ill-informed timewasters – the NHS is full of them but we don’t tolerate them here,” Charlie tells her after a bad start.
We also find out a bit more about what happened to Mads because – and what are the chances? – her attacker is brought into the ED.
