Episode 2: North Norse

Summary

Extended episode of the panel show, in which Sandi Toksvig invites Lucy Beaumont, Jason Manford, Rhod Gilbert and Alan Davies to answer questions on subjects associated with the North and the Norse. Since the questions are impossible to answer, points are awarded for being interesting rather than correct

Review

As if hosting only your second ever edition of QI were not enough, Sandi Toksvig has a super-charged Alan Davies to deal with. It’s not Davies himself, of course, with our Alan having long since given up the pretence of being a comic idiot. He’s too busy anyway with an excellent riff about dictators pretending to have lost a glove. No, it’s Rhod Gilbert, who kicks off by confusing Denmark and Norway – that goes down well – and then shouts awfully wrong answers with happy abandon. Toksvig, who even at her warmest is still slightly withering, is the perfect foil.

The other two panellists: Lucy Beaumont, who says very little but is funny when she does chip in; and Jason Manford, who says very little.
