Episode 2: Lady Mansfield and Viscount William - Scone Palace

Summary

The actress visits Scone Palace in Perth and Kinross to be a house guest of Lady Mansfield and her son William, Viscount of Stormont, and is guest of honour at a dinner party attended by a viscount, an earl and the head of a clan. During her stay, Sally tries her hand at fly fishing on the family's own section of the River Tay and goes deer-spotting with gamekeeper Stuart

Review

In case we didn’t realise just how refined this particular sleepover is, Sally Lindsay’s hosts at Scone Palace drum up a dinner party for her, with guests including three Ladies, a Viscount, an Earl and the Head of a Clan.

We’re surely heading into romcom territory here, with our Sally — whose last visit to these parts was to visit her gran’s mate Maureen — destined to save the posh people’s legacy, and crack open the heart of some poker-faced earl.

Instead, she contents herself with jumping on her four-poster bed, oohing and aahing at the unavoidable splendour of the 125-room Gothic mansion, stopping only to ask what we’re all wondering: why doesn’t anybody have a Scottish accent?
