At the beginning of 2010, the 14th season got under way. By this stage, the show had become a national pastime with almost constant reruns on digital channels, countless awards and accolades, and an insatiable demand for more, More, MORE! No matter how many editions the lads had filmed, it simply wouldn't be enough for us, and as they were all now hugely successful in lone roles as well as members of the TG team, it was safe to assume their diaries were congested. Luckily for loyal fans, the trio clearly love the programme as much as we do and always throw themselves into it with gusto. As well as a trip to Romania in search of the world's greatest driving roads and their attempt to build an electric car, the trio embarked on a boy's own adventure to Bolivia. Having chosen second-hand 4x4s on budgets of £3500, the challenge was to drive from rainforests in the heart of Bolivia to the coast of Chile. Problems included terrifying sheer drops and altitudes so high all three became ill. Difficult doesn't come close to describing it, but even in the most extreme and worrying circumstances, the friends were able to make each other - and us - laugh, with memorable scenes including them taking Viagra to combat the effects of the altitude and James proving something of an expert with lubricant and prophylactics to provide protection to mechanical parts. Season 14 celebrities included Aussie ‘Hulk' Eric Bana, acclaimed singer Seasick Steve, and British actor Michael Sheen of Frost/Nixon and The Damned United fame.
