Summary
Depressed about the almost certain imminent Labour landslide election victory, Conservative backbencher Rosie Holt MP crosses the floor just in time to be on the winning side in the 2024 election. When protesting fishermen turn up in her constituency office, Rosie panics into making a policy that leads to her being seen as a useful idiot. Political satire starring Rosie Holt

Review
Simon O'Hagan
In all her glorious inanity, Rosie Holt MP is one of the great satirical creations of the age, but so far her heroically un-self-aware adventures in political platitudes, spectacular ignorance and moral vacuity have been confined to online.
This Radio 4 pilot — in which Rosie Holt (the MP is an alter ego) both plays Rosie and co-scripts with David Quantick — is right on the money. Once Conservative, now having “crossed the floor” to Labour, it’s no surprise when Holt is told by the party’s despairing director of communications to “Go back to your constituency and be quiet!”
