Day Two BBC1 - 1

Summary

Sue Barker presents live coverage of the second day from the All England Club, featuring the first round of the men's and ladies' singles competitions. Last year, 2019 champion Simona Halep was absent due to injury, so then world number one Ashleigh Barty kicked off the day's play on the famous court with a 6-1, 6-7, 6-1 win against Carla Suarez Navarro. Barty went on to win the title, but made the decision in March of this year to retire from the game, becoming the second player to end her career while holding the number one ranking after Justine Henin
