Summary

Sue Barker and Isa Guha present live coverage of the second day from the All England Club, featuring the first round of the men's and ladies' singles competitions. Eight-time champion Roger Federer got his tournament under way on day two last year with a match that ended when his opponent Adrian Mannarino had the misfortune to have to retire hurt before the start of the fifth and final set. Elsewhere, home favourite Daniel Evans prevailed in straight sets against Feliciano Lopez on Court Two. Meanwhile, on Court One, 2020 US Open runner-up Alexander Zverev and 2018 champion here Angelique Kerber prevailed in straight sets against Tallon Griekspoor and Nina Stojanovic respectively. There was also a victory for Daniil Medvedev over Jan-Lennard Struff, but the current world number one will not be present this year due to a ban on Russian competitors
