Day Eight BBC2

Summary

Sue Barker presents live coverage of the eighth day from the All England Club, where the fourth round of the men's and ladies' singles competitions are scheduled to continue. Roger Federer was among the winners in round four last year, overcoming Lorenzo Sonego 7-5, 6-4, 6-2. However, he was eliminated in the quarter-finals and missed this year's tournament due to injury. As he is now 40 years old, the odds look stacked against him extending his record number of singles titles here to nine, but the Swiss star has overcome the odds many times in the past. However, with six championships at SW19 to his name, one of his great rivals in Novak Djokovic will have his eyes on breaking Federer's record in the future despite being 35 years old himself
