Episode 1: The Alpine Darling

Summary

The Taskmaster champions from series six to 10 return to the scene of the greatest triumph of their lives, as they battle to become the second Champion of Champions. Taskmaster Greg Davies' expectations are sky high as he watches Ed Gamble destroying a bath toy, Kerry Godliman rolling a bobbin, Liza Tarbuck avoiding low-flying bananas, Lou Sanders painting on skates and Richard Herring revealing his bare feet. As always, all tasks are adjudicated by Alex Horne

Review

Winners from five Taskmaster series return to establish which of them is the “winningest”. At one point, as they argue about who should get points from a painting task, Liza Tarbuck chuckles, “I’ve so missed this!” and you’ll soon see why.

But Tarbuck (series six champ) has stiff competition: Kerry Godliman (series seven) writes a play for one task; Richard Herring (series ten) and Lou Sanders (eight) can be relied on for lateral clowning, and Ed Gamble (nine) gets cross, again.
