Summary

The Kettering Incident is the gripping new mystery drama created by Victoria Madden & Vincent Sheehan. Set on the isolated island of Tasmania, this mesmerising thriller follows one woman's journey to find the truth about her past. When two girls mysteriously disappear in the wilds of Tasmania in similar circumstances, 15 years apart, Dr Anna Macy finds herself inextricably linked to both cases. Anna must confront the traumatic events of her troubled past and discover her connection to the truth of what is really happening in the Kettering Forest.

Episode 1: Anna

Summary

Australian mystery drama. In the first episode, returning to her home town of Kettering 15 years after a traumatic event, Anna finds it has become a very different place

Review

The title sounds like Robert Ludlum on an off day. But no spies or assassins here; this atmospheric Aussie thriller is more like a Fortitude or a Trapped, ie with menacing events in a remote location. Elizabeth (The Night Manager) Debicki plays Anna Macy, who leaves her home town after a traumatic event in which her best friend Gillian vanished.

Fifteen years later, Anna is compelled to leave her London doctor’s job and return Down Under, but only meets hostility from the locals – especially when another young woman goes missing. The eerie opening double bill makes entrancing use of its Tasmanian locations and some startling flashbacks, even if its eco mysteries don’t yet make sense.
