Summary
"Wife Swap USA" sees American couples from across the country exchanging families and partners for 10 days to discover how people with different outlooks on life tackle family issues. In the first half of the swap, the wives move in and adopt their new family's lifestyle policies and must follow a manual written by the departing spouse that sets out the rules of the house. In the second half, that same manual is ejected and the new wives take charge and run the household the way they think is sensible. At the end of the show, the two couples meet face to face for the first time and offer a frank assessment of each other and discuss what they have learned from the experience. Narrated by John Schwab, it has aired on American television since 2004 and can be seen in the UK on Channel 4 and E4.
