Summary
"Any Human Heart" is a four-part adaptation by William Boyd of his novel of the same name about octogenarian Logan Mountstuart (played at different stages of his life by Jim Broadbent, Matthew Macfadyen and Sam Clafin), who remembers his relationships and friendships in each decade of the 20th century. In the opening episode, he recalls his days at university in the 1920s, the complicated process of losing his virginity, and romantic crisis he faced when forced to choose between his aristocratic wife and the woman he truly loved. It premiered on Channel 4 in 2010.
