Summary
"Top of the Lake" is a drama series following child-protection specialist Det Robin Griffin (Elisabeth Moss) as she investigates the disappearance of a 12-year-old pregnant girl. With the whole community under a cloud, the girl's father emerges as the chief suspect. Robin's investigation sends shockwaves through the town and digs up a personal history she had hoped to keep buried. Written by Jane Campion ("The Piano") and Gerard Lee, the supporting cast includes David Wenham, Peter Mullan and Holly Hunter. The six-part series premiered on BBC Two in July 2013.
