Episode 5: Me and the Devil

Summary

Bill gets personally involved in the necromancy crisis sweeping through Bon Temps, and Pam urges him to gather his sheriffs to deal with the source of the problem. Sookie bonds with Eric as she continues her efforts to restore his memory, and Jesus and Lafayette head for Mexico to harness a shaman's powers

Review

A tricky time for the residents of Bon Temps, in an episode where plenty happens, but motivations remain muddy. Young Tommy has a family problem that he needs big brother Sam’s help with; why Sam’s carrying a bag of marshmallows soon becomes horribly apparent. Jason’s recovering, thanks to a taste of Jessica, but is now having awkward dreams of a romantic nature. Witch Marnie still maintains she doesn’t know how she created the spells that have so troubled the vampires, but Bill is determined to find out. And as for Eric and Sookie, well, unlike Tara, Sookie’s only too happy to see him emerge from her basement.
