Episode 1: The Big Proud Party Agency
Summary
Review
A new reality series introduces us to curator and “personality” Ryan Lanji, club promoter and “queen of the lesbians” Teddy Edwardes, and an experience planner who bills himself as “the” Christopher Mills – a trio of culture vultures who must now compete to help ordinary members of the public have an unforgettable night out. First through the doors is Jordan, who wants to throw a birthday bash for his boyfriend Corey that will build towards a marriage proposal. Will he opt for a ring-bearing celebrity in a cake, a drag party with flashmob, or a multi-room sensory experience? Those are the pitches made by the three experts who, once Jordan’s made his selection, collaborate to put the chosen event on – which, given how energetically they slag off each other’s ideas in that opening phase, is a risky proposition.
