Episode 3: Piecemeal

Summary

Sandi Toksvig and regular panellist Alan Davies are joined in this extended edition by Jimmy Carr, Gyles Brandreth and Sally Phillips, who answer questions on the subject of piecemeal, with points awarded for the answers the host finds most interesting

Review

One of the highlights of QI has always been the outlandish and inventive buzzer noises given to the panellists, but this week each contestant gets something a bit more restrained in an attempt at keeping things inoffensive.

Of course, this is largely a set-up for a gag about regular guest Alan Davies’s buzzer, but it’s also a general theme in an episode where contestants are given extra points for politeness, giving them even more of an incentive to mind their ps and qs.

But will guests Jimmy Carr, Sally Phillips and Gyles Brandreth keep things civil, or dissolve into impropriety? Take a guess…
