Summary
"Four in a Bed" is a variation of "Three in a Bed", where bed and breakfast owners from across the UK throw open their doors and take it in turns as hosts to decide which of their establishments provides the best value for money. But this time it's not three, but four in a bed, as a quartet of pairs do battle. It has echoes of "Come Dine with Me" in that those taking part might be assessed poorly because there is something about their personality that someone else doesn't warm to as much as the quality of the service they provide. Marks are awarded after couples fill out anonymous customer satisfaction forms on checking out the next morning. The contest begins in the Grange in Oxfordshire, where the proprietors offer a picture-framing course and a morning bagpipe wake-up call. The competing guests are from south Wales, Edinburgh and Abingdon. It premiered on Channel 4 in November 2010.
