"Bargain Hunt" sees two pairs of contestants scouring a car boot sale with money to spend on three or four items they think might make them a profit at auction. Each team is guided by an antiques expert. The winners are the ones who can make the most or lose the least money. David Dickinson was the original host when the daytime programme premiered in 2000. He was replaced in 2003 by Tim Wonnacott. The money given to each team increased from £200 to £300 when Wonnacott became the host.
