There were so many hoaxes in actor and comedian Andy Kaufman's brief career that for years his fans believed he wasn't really dead. He was best known as Latka Gravas in the 1970s US sitcom Taxi, and while Iain Lee reckons he was a genius, presenter Matthew Parris draws his own conclusions about Kaufman's life
