Episode 3: Britain's Most Expensive Houses

Summary

The company's UK director Jason is determined to bag a very personal listing, Otterburn Castle in Northumberland, which was once owned by his great-great-great-great-grandfather - and pulling out all the stops, he even brings along his mum to convince the current owner that he is the broker for the job. Constance tries to find a London penthouse with a great view for Italian first-time buyers Alessandro and Ilenia, while John takes on a stunning property in the Surrey hills which was featured in Beauty and the Beast and Star Wars

Review

Making money as an estate agent isn’t just about selling houses, it’s about persuading sellers to give you their property to market. For UK Sotheby’s Realty broker John, this involves getting amazing photos and drone footage (an essential, it seems) of a chichi cottage in Surrey. His colleague Jason takes a different tack, bringing his mum to a castle in Northumberland – their family used to own it! Will the connection persuade the current owner to accept his valuation?

In London, we’re flying high with an astonishing South Bank penthouse – can Shereen persuade her client to fork out an additional small fortune to furnish it? And Constance is struggling with two picky Italian clients, but she’s not giving up.
