Summary
Review
Rifts are opening up all over Midwich, between neighbours but also within families, and the eerie young prodigies are the reason. “Maybe it’s time that we accept the children for what they are,” says Cassie (Synnove Karlsen) to a meeting of worried mothers. But her own mum, Susannah (Keeley Hawes), is not convinced and makes covert inquiries, while Paul (Max Beesley) conducts some comparatively routine police work.
With the malign influence creating tension and violence between the warring townsfolk, the presence of suspicious government operatives suggests that there is more than one enemy at the door. The series is at a tipping point; I hope its poise and power are maintained.
