Summary

In the first episode, Bear Grylls touches down on the boiling sands of the North African Sahara Desert, where the daytime temperatures rise to 54C and the sand is almost too hot to touch. As the series continues, Bear faces waterfalls and mudslides in the deadly jungles of Panama; parachutes into the Patagonia ice field; takes on Namibia's Skeleton Coast, a 900-mile stretch of arid desert; and ventures into the landlocked country of Zambia in Southern Africa, where crocodiles, hippos and a herd of elephants are just some of the dangers in the area.

Summary

The adventurer visits Namibia, one of the hottest, emptiest and driest places on Earth. He begins on the Skeleton Coast, a 900-mile stretch of arid desert, where he meets the San Bushmen. He learns their water-gathering skills, navigates treacherous conditions and comes face to face with venomous snakes
