All sorts of unusual activities go on in hotel rooms, and this true-crime series is fascinated by the worst of them, as eyewitnesses and experts add commentary to archive materials to reconstruct crimes that led to a guest being carried out of their room in a body bag. Tonight’s case begins with the sort of occurrence true- crime fans love: on New Year’s Eve 2015, the Future Inn Hotel in Cardiff receives a call from a man who says there is a dead woman in room 203. When this does indeed prove to be the case, the providence of a suicide note found next to her is soon called into question.
